In February we hosted a press conference event at L’Aqua in Darling Harbour for Ocean Guardian, the manufacturers of the worlds only scientifically proven electrical shark deterrent.

We were tasked with organising a press conference for Ocean Guardian to launch their latest innovation, the eSPEAR – the world’s first handheld electrical shark deterrent designed for diving, snorkelling and spearfishing. Backed by 20 years of research, the small, lightweight and easy to carry device offers powerful and proven shark deterrent protection.

The conference was headed by Ocean Guardian CEO Lindsay Lyon alongside Marine Biologist and Shark Conservationist Amanda Elizabeth who spoke about the damaging practice of shark finning and the critical importance of sharks having a healthy ocean environment.

Through our strong media relationships we secured attendance from major media outlets including 10 News, 9 News, SBS Dateline, Australian Geographic, The Daily Telegraph and key industry media including Marine Business.

The press conference successfully generated coverage across mainstream traditional media, including segments on Channel 9 Afternoon News, Channel 9 Evening News, 10 News First, Today Tonight and 2GB Radio to name a few. The event also generated extensive content across digital and print news publications including the Daily Telegraph, the Sydney Morning Herald and the Sun Herald.
