We managed the PR arm of the launch marketing strategy of the ‘Marvellous Map of Actual Australian Place Names’ on behalf of UK based client Strumpshaw, Tincleton & Giggleswick, with a short timeframe and small budget in mind. The map featured 1000 of Australia’s rudest, funniest and quirkiest real place names.
Within two months of activity, we achieved over 80 editorial feature stories on a national and global level across print, online, TV, radio and social media buzz generated further sharing of these stories.
We secured two TV segments on Studio 10 and CNN International and over 10 radio interviews with the Founder, Humphrey Butler.
The story featured on all of our top targets, including but not limited to; BuzzFeed, Mashable, Domain, Lifehacker, Daily Mail, ABC, BBC, Business Insider, Sydney Morning Herald, Herald Sun, Daily Telegraph, news.com.au and also the majority of Australia’s metropolitan newspapers and online news sites.
Ultimately as a result, there was a dramatic increase in sales by up to 500% in only a short period of PR activity.
