This morning we had the pleasure of hosting a press conference for our client Ocean Guardian at L’Aqua, with the introduction of their latest device the eSPEAR – the world’s first handheld shark deterrent.
We were joined by Ocean Guardian CEO, Lindsay Lyon and Marine Biologist, Amanda Elizabeth with strong TV media attendance across ABC, 9 News, 10 News, Cnet, as well as other notable industry attendees from marine, boating and travel media titles.
The eSPEAR can be used while diving, snorkelling and spearfishing. Backed by 20 years of research, the small, lightweight and easy to carry device offers powerful and proven protection from sharks. Featuring a trigger activated extendable baton, the devise is able to create powerful electrical fields of up to 1 metre in diameter and 2.5 metres in length to deter an unwanted shark encounter.
Ocean Guardian CEO, Lindsay Lyon says, “Our customers have been asking for a smaller device, so we’re excited to bring this product to market enabling people to help mitigate their fear of sharks and enjoy the ocean freely while saving our marine life. It’s very simple to use, simply attach it to your dive belt, swimsuit or trunks and you can swim in the ocean with the comfort of knowing you have the power of Shark Shield Technology at your fingertips.”
The eSPEAR is available for purchase via indiegogo in Aquamarine, Carbon Black, Electric Yellow, Pewter Grey and Ocean Blue for $299. A 45% discount will be applied for those who register on indiegogo, between 5th February to 15th March 2019. Indiegogo campaign is now live at: https://igg.me/at/espear-first-handheld-shark-deterrent
