Inspired by nature, the 2017 Pantone Colour of the Year Greenery will soon start to filter all things fashion, home and lifestyle. To stay on trend and adopt the new colour, our client Justine Stedman, Director and Principal Stylist at Vault Interiors shares her tips on how best to incorporate it into your home.
Justine’s 10 ways to add Greenery through the home in 2017:
1. Paint your front door – Make a statement and change the colour of your front door to bright green, you can always paint over it next year!
2. Cushions & Throws – The simplest and cheapest way to add colour pops.
3. Kitchen Utensils – Inject green pops through small counter appliances and accessories.
4. Greenwalls – Greenwalls are amazing, they can be used inside as a feature wall or outside.
5. Statement furniture pieces – You can recover an old chair in a fabric print featuring lush greenery or a tropical looking pattern.
6. Artwork – You can find some great and inexpensive prints online that can be purchased as a canvas or you can frame via ikea frames.
7. Trinkets – Green ceramic vases and green glass candle holders look great on their own to add a pop of colour to any room.
8. Stools – If you have older timber stools you can easily spray paint in a gloss green finish for a dramatic pop.
9. Light fittings – Vintage industrial pendant light fittings traditionally come in a lime green colour and they fabulous hung as a statement piece.
10. Potted planters – Group a variety of different sized pots on your deck or courtyard for a summery vibrant feeling.
